Collaborative Innovation Center for Bio-based Antibacterial Products in the Textile Industry

    Bioserica is a pioneer of bio-based modified antimicrobial fiber technology and a supplier of antimicrobial fiber and textile products. Founded in 2019 in Nanjing, China, Bioserica has established itself as a leader in bio-based modified antimicrobial technologies.

    Bioserica has accumulated years of technological experience and knowhow with a dedicated technical team and established a proven leading position in the modified antimicrobial fiber industry, according to Frost & Sullivan. Bioserica has developed proprietary technologies with the use of OPHB, a derivative of PHBV (polyhydroxy butyrate-co-valerate, a naturally occurring bio-based polymer), with antimicrobial properties, to produce Bioserica Pro® fiber, which has long-lasting antimicrobial and odor-suppressing properties, without compromising fiber quality or wearability.

    As of the date of this proxy statement/prospectus, Bioserica has 69 patents, 34 pending patent applications, 201 registered trademarks and four pending trademark applications in China and certain other jurisdictions, such as Japan and European countries. As of the same date, it also has five registered copyrights in China and six registered domain names.

    Bioserica is widely recognized in the textile industry. Bioserica is the Pioneer Plant for Bio-based Antimicrobial Products authorized by China National Textile and Apparel Council (“CNATC”), a Specialized, High-end and Innovation-driven Enterprise in Jiangsu Province, and a National High and New Technology Enterprise. It has participated in the formulating and publishing of industry and group standards such as Textiles — Determination of Antivirus Activity and Inspection and Evaluation Guidance of Antimicrobial Performance Against Odor-causing Bacteria. Bioserica has also contributed to the revision of the national standards GB/T 20944.3 for Textiles — Evaluation for antimicrobial activity — Part 3: Shake Flask Method.

    Bioserica focuses on the research, development, production, and sale of products under the Bioserica® (for biodegradable fiber products), Bioserica Pro® (for fiber products) and Bioserica Era® (for textile products) brands, targeting the modified antimicrobial fiber and textile product markets.

 

    Bioserica’s inhouse facility spans approximately 22,000 square meters, and houses one comprehensive production line for Bioserica Pro® fiber applying O-S Technology and 250 fully automatic knitting and turning sewing machines for Bioserica Era® antimicrobial and odor-suppressing socks. The facility employs environmentally friendly and recyclable SCF Technology to achieve green production.

The production facility for Bioserica Era antibacterial socks was officially launched.

The production line for Bioserica Pro® fiber was officially put into operation.

Bioserica was awarded the title Pioneer Plant for Bio-based Antimicrobial Products authorized by China National Textile and Apparel Council (“CNATC”)

In 2024

Participated in drafting the standard 'Textiles - Detection and Evaluation of Anti-Odor-Producing Bacteria Performance,' which has been officially implemented.

Bioserica entered into exclusive strategic long-term cooperation agreements with some leading fiber manufacturers in the industry: Fujian Yongrong Jinjiang Co., Ltd., or Eversun Holdings, and Tongkun Group Co., Ltd., or Tongkun Group.

  • Bioserica was recognized as a “Jiangsu Province Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive and Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprise”.
  • Bioserica participated in the revision of the national standard GB/T 20944.3 “Textiles—Evaluation of Antibacterial Properties—Part 3: Agitation Method”.
  • Bioserica led the drafting of the group standard “Technical Specifications for Antibacterial Textiles in Special Usage Scenarios”, which was completed in the draft for approval and is expected to be released in the first half of 2025.
  • Far East Grand Bross Inspection Group awarded Bioserica the “First Anti-Odor-Causing Bacteria Certification”.

  • In January, Bioserica participated in drafting the standard 'Textiles - Detection and Evaluation of Anti-Odor-Producing Bacteria Performance,' which has been officially implemented.
  • In April, Bioserica won the award for "Outstanding Unit in the 2023 China Textile and Apparel Enterprise Multi-media Innovation Competition";
  • In October, the national standard GB/T 43823-2024 'Textiles - Determination of Antiviral Activity,' to which Bioserica contributed in drafting, officially came into effect. The association standard 'Technical Code for Antimicrobial and Mold-proofing Purification Treatment of HVAC Systems in Civil Buildings,' also contributed to by Bioserica, is currently under development
  • In October, Bioserica entered into an exclusive long-term strategic partnership with Fujian Yongrong Jinjiang Co., Ltd., or Eversun Holdings, enabling the large-scale commercial launch of Bioserica Pro® antibacterial and odor-inhibiting nylon
  • In October, Bioserica thermo underwear was selected into the list of "Top Ten Categories of Textile Innovative Products in 2024", and the company was honored on the 2024 'Sustained Innovation Entity' list of the Top 10 Categories of Innovative Textile Products;

  • The textile industry standard FZ/T 01177-2024 "Textiles - Quantitative Chemical Analysis - Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-valerate)/Polylactic acid (PHBV/PLA) Blended Fibers and Mixtures with Certain Other Fibers", which Bioserica participated in formulating, was approved and released, and will be officially implemented from July 1, 2025;
  • Bioserica passed the evaluation and recognition of the "Nanjing Bio-based Antibacterial Materials Engineering Technology Research Center".
