Bioserica has accumulated years of technological experience and knowhow with a dedicated technical team and established a proven leading position in the modified antimicrobial fiber industry, according to Frost & Sullivan. Bioserica has developed proprietary technologies with the use of OPHB, a derivative of PHBV (polyhydroxy butyrate-co-valerate, a naturally occurring bio-based polymer), with antimicrobial properties, to produce Bioserica Pro® fiber, which has long-lasting antimicrobial and odor-suppressing properties, without compromising fiber quality or wearability.
As of the date of this proxy statement/prospectus, Bioserica has 69 patents, 34 pending patent applications, 201 registered trademarks and four pending trademark applications in China and certain other jurisdictions, such as Japan and European countries. As of the same date, it also has five registered copyrights in China and six registered domain names.
Bioserica is widely recognized in the textile industry. Bioserica is the Pioneer Plant for Bio-based Antimicrobial Products authorized by China National Textile and Apparel Council (“CNATC”), a Specialized, High-end and Innovation-driven Enterprise in Jiangsu Province, and a National High and New Technology Enterprise. It has participated in the formulating and publishing of industry and group standards such as Textiles — Determination of Antivirus Activity and Inspection and Evaluation Guidance of Antimicrobial Performance Against Odor-causing Bacteria. Bioserica has also contributed to the revision of the national standards GB/T 20944.3 for Textiles — Evaluation for antimicrobial activity — Part 3: Shake Flask Method.
Bioserica focuses on the research, development, production, and sale of products under the Bioserica® (for biodegradable fiber products), Bioserica Pro® (for fiber products) and Bioserica Era® (for textile products) brands, targeting the modified antimicrobial fiber and textile product markets.
Bioserica’s inhouse facility spans approximately 22,000 square meters, and houses one comprehensive production line for Bioserica Pro® fiber applying O-S Technology and 250 fully automatic knitting and turning sewing machines for Bioserica Era® antimicrobial and odor-suppressing socks. The facility employs environmentally friendly and recyclable SCF Technology to achieve green production.
